About Twitch Angry

what made you decide a career in music and at what age and what age did you (all) start performing ?

Twitch Angry-- I personally put this project together to get to the show and make money, so i can get myself and my wife out of the ghetto. I was 21 years old when I first performed and wasn't e????
Manson- I was the weirdo kid that walked around the neighborhood making guitar sounds, and wasn't even aware of the fact was doing it, so i would have to say i wanted to be a rock star since i was in the whom and iv'e been on it ever since.                       #2
What is the music scene like in your city/state and where do you see it heading?

Twitch Angry- We’re from Sacramento California, and the scene here has allot of politics and is very clicky. Bars close and bar's open, bands come bands go,the national acts come through and bands sell tickets to be able to play with the signed bands. I see no changes anytime soon, were on the wrong side of politics here, and were not clicked up, cause were not going to change the way I feel or write to accommodate others. I write about my life experiences and how I feel about certain issues. Our fans are very solid and very vocal as expected, and we have allot of Twitch Angry fans .

We noticed you have a new album in the making. Can you tell us a bit about the recording process?

Twitch Angry- Find backing, or a label, or management, that's our first step. Our first album set our standard quality wise pretty high. We have got to have it as good or better then our first one's quality. With out funding we’re in trouble, AND THE ALBUM IS READY!  The process, hum, Well we went to Rich Mouser and he owns the Mouse House Studio's and it's in Southern California, he's also the guitar player for Oleander and has a gold record under his belt.He recorded our first album. I really would like him to record our second album. Rich and i really work well together. The first 2 day's I (Twitch Angry) recorded the drum tracks, with a scratch guitar track that Manson played. Then Manson did his rhythm tracks, Then bass tracks, I didn't like some of the lead guitar tracks, some people just don't or can't play well with others, there is no I in team. So i went back and hummed the melody's and Rich mouser played the lead tracks. Then Twitch Angry myself, laid the vocal tracks. That was a total of ten days. Then Rich told me he had to let his ears rest for about 3 weeks to a month. Then went back and made some adjustments and then mastered the album. Riches wife Kaitlin put all the art work together for the sleeves and then sent it off to get packaged in our case 2,000 copy's.
Manson- It was Crazy Fun!!!

Who inspires you the most?

Manson- I think we inspire ourselves, only because we don't listen to anyone else
Twitch Angry- I'm inspired by my project, I created it as a means for my wife and I to get out of the ghetto..

Tell us about your writing process for your new song's and how you go about it?

Twitch Angry-Well i wrote 6 albums in sequence before I actually started this project. The first album still hasn't been released at a level that could of got us allot of attention. Our second album is ready to go. But if you truly want to know what makes me tick, how and why my mind thinks the way it does, and how I came up with H.I.P.A. and what H.I.P.A. means, and the logo's, actually my entire project, how it was built, creating a whole world from scratch, before I even started this project. Reverbnation is where you go and join the H.I.P.A. street team, or maybe a small donation, ether way My wife Melody Angry will send you a copy of my in depth manuscript or manifesto, which ever you want to call it for absolutely FREE!!!  Yes no gimmicks no tricks its FREE!  29 pages of WHAT MAKES TWITCH ANGRY TICK!  It is interesting and worth checking out. We have sent out hundreds of copy's at fan requests some that did not really agree with the idea's portrayed in the manuscript, which you could almost call it a book, but said they truly enjoyed reading it, and after they read it said it's good enough to sell..but IT'S FREE !FREE !FREE.

So when are we expected to see the album available?  Is it going to be available on cd, digital down load, or both ?

Twitch Angry-Well that really depends on weather or not we can find management, some backing , or even a label. We are really eager to get this next album done. It's titled Rotten To The Core. The few that have come over to our practices were really stoked and amazed, they never saw it coming . Wow some of it just doesn't seem like Twitch Angry until the lyrics kick in , it is really commercially sellable, less profanity, most is radio ready!!  It is as good as our first album which i would like to rerelease and title it F.Y.I.T.N. I'm not trying to push you just to get play's, or man I just finished this can you please listen and critique it and tell us what you think, well I don't know about you but 9 times out of ten it sucked. Trust and believe I'm as sick of that shit as well, it really kind of ruin's it for the few bands that are really great. Oh but the one's that are really great you never see them send their music or songs with a message like that!  We don't either. Well one thing for sure we need help, we need management, for leadership, we need a backer WE WANT A LABEL!  I really feel we earned that right. With the right people believing in this project like all our fans do, there is no looking back, we would be gone touring 10 to 11 months a year and we are ready for that trust and believe! And after this album there is four right behind that one. They will be down load digital and hard copy cd.

Have you got any tours planned, and if so where are you going and when?

Twitch Angry- Well we went out last summer hitting 36 states, and more then several times we hit the same states, some even going back 3 times. The tour covered 14,850 miles, I drove the whole way, I really gained some respect for trucker's that's for sure. It lasted 3 months, 70 show's 30 in a row, and a few times playing twice in the same city same night. We went out with absolutely no backing or management, or booking agent, I booked it all myself. I toured because I was hoping to get picked up by a label, or at least management,  I thought we did a great job proving our willingness to work. We can and will be willing to go out 10 to 12 months a year what ever it takes, and if any bands are going out on a tour we are ready to open for you and we will not disappoint . Jagermeister, Monster, or Amped energy drink we are really ready to work, we want to be dogged, or even just a chance to prove our selves would make us really eager to prove we can and will hold our own .

How do you prepare yourself for a night on stage, and do you ever get nervous?

Twitch Angry- I myself like to get the band all in one place, tour bus or back stage, away from all outside interference. The reason for this is, were unifying so were all on the same page mentally. What nervous! I belong out there that's my play ground, the only one's that might be nervous would be the city were playing in, there just hoping we get in and get out of the city with the least amount of problems as possible
Manson - I look forward to the back of the truck experience, when the whole band gets together and becomes one. Do I get nervous? I work best when there's pressure so if I don't I will have to make myself get nervous .

Now we have all had these... Equipment failure, stage not as big as you thought, ect... Whats the most memorable onstage disaster you have had to date?

Twitch Angry - It would with out a doubt be the Monster Fest 2009. Well with 3/4's of the show gone, yes were on the back stretch, my brother Chump Change (c.c) was fronting the band that show, and at the beginning of the show two songs in, I guess he didn't like Spike's back up vocals, so he like grabbed his mic stand and moved it away from him and glared at him while bending the stand so it was out of service. I saw it start and I watched it grow with each song as Spike was plotting and scheming. Chump Change I guess forgot and starts moving over to the right side of the stage and like a billy goat head down Spike runs at my brother his head connects with c.c's chest and throws a haymaker and connects with some solid force right up side his head. I was drumming then and to watch this develop and not able to stop this really stupid shit, but we were recording a live video so we can post it on YouTube. After the show I'm really mad and there still arguing and yelling, and there argument is over the blame game. Who's fault is it. Well we had 4 camera angles so when we got back John our camera man aka (Camera Nazi) don't ask me why he's called that, he's about 63 years old.. What ! (I'm not running a old folks sweet shop..) so we had 4 different angles to watch my brother start shit and swears it's not him!  Awesome views of the connection to the head slow mo was funny as hell. But to this day we weren't remembered as wow twitch angry had a great show!  It's Did you see that fight when Twitch Angry was on stage near the end of the show, the lead guitar player charged the singer and beat his ass and the others just kept playing .
Manson - I would have to say the Monster fest 2011... we were told we were playing main stage, we get there they bump us cause of politics to the second main stage which was way smaller. Well the sound guy who was working with us and he's great, for some reason they inform him he's needed else where and these two guy's that never ran sound before are now running our sound. Well that really pissed off Twitch and it was all down hill from there .

I guess we should now ask what is your most memorable performance .

Twitch Angry - Most all shows are memorable to me, but the most I'd say was in Gainesville  Florida at the backstage lounge. There was an older guy there taking pic's and after the show he came up to take a couple of pics and say's, I've been going to hundreds of shows taking pics for a local newspaper for 20 years now. You guy's are awesome you were by far the best live band I have ever seen in 20 years. That stood up my Mohawk lol!  Wow just sitting here thinking about it blow's me away .
Manson - You know I would say they all were memorable because i had to learn something from all of them, but I would have to say the (916) club with Total Chaos, The vib was unbelievable.

If you could perform with anybody who would your #1 choice be?

Twitch Angry - I would say AC/DC, Judas Priest, Flip a coin it's a tie .
Manson - Twitch Angry only cause they are unbelievable,  if you don't believe me, just ask the other guy that lives inside me .

We believe you guy's have built up quit a following.  Is there anything you would like to tell your fans, and supporters whats next for Twitch Angry ?

Twitch Angry - We do have a growing following that's growing at a steady pace, and it will continue to grow. Well what’s next for Twitch Angry Fans.. First off our fans are really our friends, and we love hanging out with our friends, so to all our friends and supporters, spread the word around Twitch Angry needs management really bad, it's all who you know allot of times, and hit our Myspace and demand us in your city.. we will come see you all soon, hopefully with the releasing of our new album .
Manson - With out you guy's there wouldn't be guy's like us .
